Lush
Now, we love Lush here at Retroheadz HQ, their energetic blend of Pop Punk and Britpop make for a brilliant sound.
They wrote some fantastic songs that you just can’t help but sing along to.
Forming back in 1987 they, unfortunately, split up in 1996 after their record label dropped the ball and their drummer Chris Acland tragically committed suicide just one month after their biggest tour to date.
Their last album Lovelife is a classic and even features a duet with Jarvis Cocker.
They had hit singles with “Single Girl”, “Ladykillers” and “500 (Shake Baby Shake)”. They reformed in 2015 releasing a new EP but unfortunately quit again in 2016.
