Final Fight CD (Mega CD)
Yes, we know Final Fight came out on the SNES first but it was missing levels, characters (later rectified on Final Fight Guy) and most importantly a two player option.
Luckily the extra storage of the Mega CD had it all and is the most faithful conversion of the Capcom arcade classic.
Streets of Rage (Megadrive/Genesis)
Streets of Rage was Sega’s answer to Final Fight after it came out exclusively on the SNES early on in its life.
Not only is it better than the SNES game with lots of levels, brilliant bosses and a city environment that was fantastically portrayed , it also has one of the best soundtracks of the 16-bit era.
The only thing missing compared to Final Fight were the enemies energy bars but you can’t have it all.
