Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (SNES)
Ah the Turtles, we all loved the Turtles back in the early 90’s and Konami gave SNES owners this beauty.
For sheer 90’s nostalgia, TMNT: Turtles in Time is brilliant fun to play with all four characters available to use and a fun two player option.
We still love the way that you can knock Shredders Foot Soldiers out of the screen.
Streets of Rage 2 (Megadrive/Genesis)
Well here we are at the end and frankly we has to finish off with the ultimate side scrolling Beat ‘Em Up which is of course, Streets of Rage 2.
Everything about this game is bigger and better than its original outing.
Streets of Rage 2 is absolutely stunning, has more characters to choose from, more levels, bigger bosses and the soundtrack is so good you’ll be dancing to it FOREVER!
Of course, Streets of Rage 3 is fantastic to look at as well but Streets of Rage 2 is our fave because the difficulty is balanced perfectly as well.
It’s safe to say that if you have to play one 16-bit side scrolling beat ’em up then Streets of Rage 2 is the game to play.
