Gamesmaster’s Legacy

Gamesmaster was the first show to be about gaming and because of this we also got shows like Bad Influence and GamesWorld in the UK that gave gamer’s a voice and started to make gaming more mainstream.

Gamesmaster lived on long after the TV series ended over 20 years ago.

The magazine launched in 1993 and lasted until the end of 2018.

The question is could it come back today?

Well,  it would be great to see for a new generation

However, given the nature of how viewing habits have changed and the main star Patrick Moore now, sadly not being around anymore it would have to something special indeed to give it the audience numbers it garnered back in the 90’s.

Can you still watch Gamesmaster anywhere?

After re-runs on Challenge TV for a few years along with other favourite shows like Knightmare it kind of disappeared into the annals of history.

Luckily you can now catch episodes on YouTube with tons of them available to watch including the hilarious meltdown of the reviewer who lost a challenge on Mario 64,.

Although as you’d expect from VHS rips and the analogue broadcasting of the time they aren’t the best quality but there good to see.

Go hunt them down and enjoy some 90’s nostalgia!
