Candyman (1992)
Candyman was genuinely terrifying. If you watched this when you were probably too young you likely struggled to go near a mirror for a while.
The Candyman was an Urban Legend believed to the be the spirit of the son of a Slave who had become successful but who had his hand cut off and was then murdered for falling in love with a white girl who became pregnant.
They cut off his hand and replaced it with a hook before covering him in honey and releasing a swarm of bees which stung him to death.
The Urban Legend was that if you said his name in the mirror five times he would appear, guess what, it was true.
