Rhythim Is Rhythim – Strings of Life
Little did Derrick May know, when he wrote Strings of Life, that he had created a whole new genre.
Techno came straight out of Detroit and would go on to be House music’s intelligent and darker sibling.
The piano is off-kilter and almost Jazzy while the stabs and bass created an urgent rhythm that forced you to pay attention.
Quite possibly one of the most important pieces of modern music ever written.
