Van Halen
A million miles away from the world of Slayer, Van Halen were champions of the emerging “Hair Metal” scene. Spandex aplenty this was a band willing to push a more commercial sound whilst portraying an outrageous image for the time. Of all the hair metal acts Van Halen were certainly the most technically gifted, with the guitar work of Eddie Van Halen leading the way. They released many classics but none more impressive than ‘1984’.
