Iron Maiden
What can we say that hasn’t already been said about Iron Maiden? They were the kings of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal in the late seventies and eventually went on to conquer the world throughout the eighties. One of the most dedicated and hardworking bands around, they visited countries other bands just couldn’t get into. Releasing seven impeccable studio albumsin that decade, six of them top ten UK albums and two of them UK number ones; it’s not hard to see why they would be number one on our list. Here’s Two Minutes to Midnight from their 1984 album ‘Powerslave’.
