Treasure Island in Outer Space
Ok, this one is a bit obscure but we remember watching this in the late 80’s (or maybe early 90’s) on ITV and it was a chance YouTube encounter that instantly opened the flood gates of nostalgia (and confirmed we didn’t imagine the series)
It was also know as Space Island and was an Italian/German made series and is pretty much a futuristic version of the classic book.
It even had Earnest Borgnine in it, you know the famous actor who also starred in Airwolf.
Looking at it today it has a real retro future vibe to it and had some genuinely freaky moments in it and some cool practical effects for the time.
