Knightmare Was Really Hard To Win
Knightmare wasn’t easy to win.
In fact, most players didn’t make it far at all.
There were rare exceptions to this and the first team to complete the whole quest actually became minor celebrities for a while.
The winners even appeared on Saturday morning kids shows to tell everyone how they did it.
Much to the applause and adoration of the millions of fans of the show.
Knightmare Internationally
Knightmare wasn’t just in the UK.
In France Knightmare was known as Le Chevalier Du Labyrinthe and in Spain it was called El Rescate Del Talisman.
A pilot episode was made the US version which was to be called Lords of the Game but that’s as far as it got unfortunately.
Knightmare lives on
Whilst Knightmare ended in 1994 after eight season (it was replaced with a show called Virtually Impossible).
The show got picked up by the Sci-Fi channel first and then went over to Challenge TV so nostalgia fans got to watch it over and over again.
It was always nice to channel hop and find it on on random times of the day.
Knightmare Revival?
Knightmare has had some revivals.
It was done as a live event at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013 and also a one off episode was commissioned and broadcast on YouTube back in 2014.
Now, the question remains, could Knightmare be revived or should it be for a new generation?
