The Tech Used On Knightmare
Knightmare was way ahead of its time,.
The show used blue screens to emphasise the rooms they were which is the same technology that weather forecasters used on TV.
Knightmare felt like an early version of Virtual Reality before people knew what that was.
The rooms originally were a mixture of computer generated and hand drawn backgrounds and then completely CGI’ed in later series.
While they might look a bit dated by today’s standards they were cutting edge back when it was on and gave a vision of what the future could hold technology wise.
The Contestants
Knightmare had four players, one a Dungeoneer was seen first and given a knapsack and donning the Helmet of Justice.
The main player in Knightmare was aided by three friends who watch from afar and guided them on the quest as the player as the Helmet of Justice made them blind.
This made them completely reliant on their friends to steer them away from certain doom.
