Whilst the Famicom came out in Japan a couple of years before and in the UK in 1986, Australia and Europe didn’t get it until 1987 and for many this was the start of a love affair for all things Nintendo.
If you want to reminisce the easy way, then all you need is a NES Classic today.
However, if you didn’t have one of these or a home computer then you probably had one of the next consoles instead.
