Masters of the Air: New WW2 Series Coming to Apple TV+

Get ready for Masters of the Air, an upcoming World War 2 mini series from the legendary trio – Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman, the masterminds behind Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

The new Apple TV exclusive series will dive into the heart-pounding European air war of World War II and Masters of the Air looks set to be a gripping saga that follows the brave airmen of the 100th Bomb Group.

This new miniseries series is based on the 2006 book by Donald L. Miller’s called Masters of the Air: How The Bomber Boys Broke Down the Nazi War Machine and charts the journey through the war with the Bloody Hundredth Bomb Group.

Like with the previous series, it looks set to feature harrowing scenes showing bombing missions over Nazi Germany while the crews battled the sub-zero, oxygen scarce, flak filled environment at 25,000 feet above enemy territory.

Who stars in Masters of the Air?

The cast is a big one and features Academy Award nominee Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, and Nate Mann, alongside talents like Raff Law, Barry Keoghan (also an Academy Award nominee), Josiah Cross, Branden Cook, and Ncuti Gatwa.

Masters of the Air has a new trailer and like previous series such as Band of Brothers and The Pacific looks set to be just as realistic as those series conveyed the reality of war.

When is Master of the Air on Apple TV?

Master of the Air will be available on Apple TV+ from the 26th January, 2024 and will be nine episodes long with two being available globally on launch and then weekly thereafter.
