Pigs blood, a religious wacko of a mother and a teenage girl with telekinesis sum up this film, an adaptation of the book by horror author Stephen King. Poor Carrie is the shy girl who gets bullied by the popular girls at high school, however at the school prom that ends up turning into a bloodbath,  she soon gets her own back with her telekinesis powers and makes sure those bullies have a night they would prefer to forget.

The Omen – 1976

Young Damian Thorn was the creepy young boy with the 666 birthmark in the 1976 horror movie The Omen. Damian was adopted by the unfortunate married couple Robert and Katherine, although Katherine is in the dark about this and believes that the boy is her real son (his real mother died whilst giving birth to him.) However, it seems that Damian is actually the anti-christ who is hellbent on terrorizing not only his family but his nanny’s too.

When you’re stranded in the desert, the last thing you want to come across is a group of inbred cannibals. This is what happens to the unlucky Carter family in The Hills Have Eyes, when their car breaks down and they are targeted  by a family of brutal, cannibalistic savages who live in the hills. This film is all about survival and how you have to do whatever it takes to make this happen.
