Rocky III (1982)
Rocky III is best known for the appearance of Mr. T as Clubber Lang but as Rocky squared off against his new foe there was another fighter who was impossible to forget.
That’s right, Rocky III saw Hulkamania run wild as Hulk Hogan starred as the oddly named Thunderlips.
Unfortunately, Rocky III is remembered as a low point in the Rocky franchise but the Inclusion of Hulk Hogan makes it worth your time.
Let’s not forget that Mr. T had some wrestling credentials himself after appearing at Wrestlemania 1.
Indiana Jones (1981 – 1989)
You may be wondering “why the weird heading”?
Well, that’s because our final wrestler appeared on all three of the original Indiana Jones movies.
Pat ”Bomber” Roach was a British wrestling legend, he had held both the British and European Heavyweight belts at the same time which was no mean feat.
He appeared in quite a few movies including Willow, Conan the Destroyer and Red Sonja but he is probably best known for playing a reoccurring character in the Indiana Jones movies.
In Raiders of the Lost Ark, he played a giant Sherpa who would show up again as Chief Guard in Temple of Doom and finally as a member of the Gestapo in the Last Crusade.
Whether he was supposed to be the same character in each is still uncertain but you can’t miss his massive stature and his huge presence on the screen.
So that concludes our awesome 80’s movies that starred professional wrestlers.
