Classic Christmas Movies Everyone NEEDS to Watch

This festive selection should keep you busy!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and for many of us that means hanging up the stockings, decorating the tree and trying not to eat all of the chocolates in our advent calender’s.

What better way to get yourself into the festive mood, then putting your feet up and settling down to watch a Christmas cracker of a film

We have put together our list of classic Christmas movies everyone must watch to get you into the spirit if you’re not already!

1. Home Alone

How many of us wished our parents would leave us home alone after watching this classic 90’s film? Eat what you wanted, watch what you wanted and go to bed when you wanted, we all kind of secretly hoped that like Kevin McCallister we would be left Home Alone. Although would we be as clever as Kevin if the Wet Bandits started robbing the houses in our neighbourhood?

2. Elf

There’s not many actors that call pull off the role of a 6’5′ sugar loving Christmas Elf, unless of course you’re Will Ferrell. Buddy the Elf was right when he said ‘The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear’. If Elf doesn’t get you into the festive mood then I think its safe to say that nothing else will. Seeing a grown man dressed as a Christmas Elf wondering around New York City should most definitely make you smile.

3. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

A must watch in our house over the festive period, Christmas is just not Christmas without the Griswolds on the TV. Planning the festive family celebrations nothing ever runs smoothly for the unfortunate Clark and his family. Who else could find a squirrel in their Christmas tree, or get locked in the attic for the day. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is guaranteed to bring you Christmas cheer.

Loves a good boxset to sink her teeth into, a slight obsession with Reality TV and any cheesy 80's music she can sing along too and is quite partial to the odd glass of Prosecco.
