Ten Of The Heaviest Drum & Bass Anthems Of 2000

Last updated:

Bad Company & Trace – Flashback (Tumpa)

Bad Company, or BCUK as they were otherwise known, was a group made up of DJ Fresh, Maldini, Vegas, and D-Bridge.

Flashback was a huge anthem in 2000 thanks in no small part to its Old Skool sounding breakdown and vocal.

That fused with the relentless bassline made for something that crushed the dancefloor each and every time.

Dom & Roland – Can’t Punish Me

Can’t Punish Me is one of the all-time greats of the Drum & Bass scene and anyone who tries to tell you otherwise doesn’t have clue what they’re talking about.

It starts with a synth line that almost sounds like it’ll be Liquid but builds to a huge bassline that’s dark and nasty.

Even the slightly chipmunked vocal snippets can’t take away from the massive impact this tune had on the scene.

That’s our pick of the heaviest anthems of 2000 but there were loads more we could have chosen so what tunes do you remember crushing the dancefloors that year?
